Product Review: Targus 58MM Camera Filters

Hi everyone!  I recently bought some filters for my camera and decided to play around with them yesterday. If you have a camera and are thinking about adding some creative variety, then filters are definitely the way to go.  You can always render photos in PhotoShop and Lightroom using similar filters, but this is just another option.

The filters I used are the Targus 58MM Multi Coated Circular Polarizer High Definition Filter and the Targus 58MM Multi Coated Ultra Violet High Definition Filter.  You can find these at Target, in the link below, for around $20.  The great thing about these filters is even though your lens may not be 58MM, the package comes with adapter rings so that they can fit any DSLR camera.

The top image demonstrates what type of effect the Ultra Violet filter can give your photographs.  It provides a more bright exposure with vibrant, saturated colors.  However, the bottom image was taken using the Circular Polarizer filter, which is noticeably darker overall and gives off a more bluish tone.  

Overall, I'm pretty glad I purchased these because they definitely can provide your photographs with more visual possibilities.
